IE / SITE / 0001 · Strategic coherence

We take an organisation from advanced analytics, through decision enablement, to strategic coherence: the state in which the call, the evidence behind it and the strategy above it are one object rather than three.

Most firms can tell you what was decided. Very few can reconstruct why.

Section I  ·  The problem

The cost no one counts.

Every organisation pays for its decisions twice: once when they are made, and again, quietly, when they are made badly, made twice, or never finished.

IE / FND / 0001

Meaning drifts

Finance, operations and the board each hold a different number for the same thing. Meetings go on deciding which figure is right instead of what to do.

IE / FND / 0002

Clarity is rationed

Rigorous decision work has long arrived in a boardroom binder, at a consulting firm's price. Most decisions never get it.

IE / FND / 0003

Accountability blurs

When an outcome goes wrong, nobody can show who decided, on what evidence, under what authority. Blame lands where it is easiest, not where it belongs.

Section II  ·  The platforms

Five instruments. One standard of proof.

Each platform is deterministic where it counts. Numbers come from rules and registered evidence, never from a model's guess. People keep the judgement, and every decision carries a named owner.

EETE

Employment Economics Transparency Engine

A decision kernel for employment economics. Offers, reserves and boundaries are evaluated against the rules, and the conditions under which the answer changes are shown with it.

It answersWhat does this offer cost, and what would change the answer?

ODL

Decision language

The language decisions are written in. A decision becomes a contract with a named owner, stated units and a canonical form that can be replayed years later.

It answersCan this decision be written down so it can be replayed?

Decision Dojo

Rehearsal ground for decisions

Where people work a live decision through before it counts: the options, what each costs if it turns out wrong, and the point at which the answer flips.

It answersHave we rehearsed this call before it counts?

Abstraction Model Layer

The layer between sources and meaning

Every concept sits on a plane and in one family. Nothing downstream reads a raw source, and no two terms are called equal unless a registered rule says so.

It answersDoes this number mean the same thing everywhere?

Decision Intelligence Platform

The map of how decisions are actually made

Built by deterministic code from registered sources and evidence. AI may explain what the kernel proved; it never decides what is true.

It answersWhich decisions depend on this term, and what breaks if it changes?

Section III  ·  The architecture

The Spine: eight planes, one chain of evidence.

Evidence rises and gains identity, then meaning. Intent descends and gains constraint. They meet at Adaptation, which fits both to the present case and hands a situated programme to Judgement. Three planes are slow and one is fast; the fast one is isolated so change has somewhere legitimate to live.

  1. L0Strategy IntentWhat are we trying to achieve, and what will we not do?Quarterly to annual
  2. L1EvidenceWhat arrived, and what did it become?Continuous append
  3. L2IdentityWho and what is this about?Continuous, reversible
  4. L3MeaningWhat do these things mean, and how are they computed?Slow, by deliberation onlyAMLDIP
  5. L4AdaptationWhat applies here, now, to this case, and has the world moved?Fast: the only fast plane
  6. L5JudgementWhat is the best feasible decision, and what does it cost?Per decision, generatedDIP
  7. L6ForesightWhat might happen, and what if we chose otherwise?Per query, over the same IR
  8. L7Execution & FeedbackWhat was done, within what bounds, and what actually happened?Continuous

Highlighted planes show where the platforms sit today. Judgement never reads raw evidence directly: everything compiles to a decision representation first.

Section IV  ·  Human in the loop, by design

The machines calculate. People do the thinking.

AI and automation are used hard, for speed and reach, but only ever to propose. Every AI contribution is logged as a proposal a person accepted or rejected.

Stays with people

  • Framing. What the decision really is, and whose it is.
  • Judgement. What counts, what is protected, what trade-off is acceptable.
  • Deciding. The choice is made and signed by a named person with the authority.
  • Accountability. Who answers for it, and when it is reviewed.

Handed to machines

  • Calculating. Costs, scenarios, ranges and constraints, at speed.
  • Retrieving. The evidence, with its source and its pedigree.
  • Proposing. Options and estimates, each marked as a proposal.
  • Recording. What was proposed, what was accepted, and by whom.

Section V  ·  The engagement loop

Four stations. Nothing advances on assertion.

A position stays open until it returns evidence.

01

Instrumentation

We audit the data behind one decision you already own: lineage, ownership, refresh, the fields nobody maintains. If the input is weak you hear it from us before you hear it from a board.

02

Advanced analytics

Models built on data we have audited, not data we were handed. Every output carries its assumptions and the point at which it stops being reliable.

03

Decision enablement

The analysis reaches the person who signs, in the form they decide in: one page, two credible options, and what each costs if it turns out wrong.

04

Strategic coherence

Every initiative traceable to a measure, every measure traceable to the strategy. No orphan projects, and a written record of why each call was made.

Section VI  ·  Ways in

Start where the pain is.

Each way in uses the same method, so the work compounds instead of starting over.

  1. If you want to see what unfinished decisions cost youStart with the Organisational Debt Diagnostic: a priced view of the rework and delay, and where it sits.
  2. If you want a baseline before investing in data or AIStart with the Decision Maturity Assessment: how decisions are made and recorded today, scored, with the fastest gains named.
  3. If you want decisions recorded the same way every timeStart with the Decision Canvas and Governance Standard, run by your own people.
  4. If you want a standing check on the calls you already madeThe Decision Audit: a quarterly reconstruction of each call against the evidence available on the day.
  5. If you want one meaning across every systemStart with a semantic foundation on the Spine, built inside your boundary and owned by you.

Section VII  ·  The practitioner

One accountable person across the whole problem.

The platforms are built and warranted by Nkosinathi Mbambo, Meaning Coherence Assurer: scientist, engineer, analyst, modeller and architect of data, AI and decision systems since 2001. The method, the architecture and the working are published in full.

Section VII-A  ·  Shown with its working

A specimen engagement, in the open.

Twelve activities, who holds each, what is blocked and by what, and every day lost: credited if logged in the week it happened, forfeited if not. Computed from the two registers, not painted.

IE / LDG / 00  ·  Take it with you

Read how an engagement actually runs.

The engagement pack sets out what you receive, who decides what, what we stand behind and what we do not. Leave an address and it is yours, with the company profile.

Here it is.

Both documents open in a new tab. We will not fill your inbox: a note from The Ledger comes about once a month, and every one carries an exit.

Struck under seal.

The proof outlives the platform.

Every engagement closes with a document of record: the decision, the evidence that stood behind it, the assumptions we could not resolve, and the point at which the answer would have flipped. Signed, indexed, and yours to reuse without us.

Section VIII  ·  Addressed hand to hand

Open a position.

Write with the decision, not the org chart. We answer in specifics, or we tell you the data cannot carry it yet. Either way you get a straight answer from a person.
